Sacrament of Confirmation 2021

Saturday, 29 May 2021

We would like to thank you for considering the Sacrament of Confirmation for your child.

The Sacrament of Confirmation confirms and strengthens the gift of the Spirit received at Baptism, draws us deeper into the life of the Trinity and completes one’s initiation into the Catholic Church.

Once a student enters Year 6 or above, and has received the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation & First Eucharist they are eligible to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. This sacrament is usually offered during Term 2 of the school year (with registration completed during the previous term). Every candidate is required to participate in a 3-4 week preparation program, prior to the Sacramental day. Please see below for details of the 2021 program.

An administration fee is asked to cover the costs of preparation materials. You are asked to pay this at the time you register your child.   It can be paid by credit card via the link to the left of this page (Make your Payment or Donation), or by delivering the money, in an envelope, to the parish Secretary (marked with your child’s name). If you have difficulty in paying this fee please arrange an appointment to see Fr Richard by contacting the Parish Office on (02) 9810 1157

Attendance at sessions is required to fully complete the candidate’s preparation in order to receive the sacrament.
